Baal
Baal was a powerful Demon and the commander of the Shedim Legion during the Demon Wars. He led the Demons and their hordes of Imps into battle on behalf of his lord, the Ultimate Evil. Before his arrival on Legere, Baal successful led multiple invasions of lower dimensions, as well as the invasion of Core.
Baal was defeated in battle by the Angels near the city of Nokkville, and was succeeded by his second-in-command, Xadu.

The Body of Baal #
In the late 270s, a cult known as the Body of Baal was commandeered by the necromancer, Pitch. The cult's objective was to use a forbidden piece of magic, the Ritual of Demonic Awakening, to bring about an early resurrection of the Demon.
By 275 DHT, they had accelerated their activities considerably and actually succeeded in their goal towards the tail end of The Battle of Nokkville. However, Baal reincarnation would be short-lived, as he was defeated through the combined efforts of the Archangel's Heroes and the Heroes of Nokkville.
